Fixpoint

About Fixpoint

Fixpoint is a small set of free, single-purpose tools for the moment a form rejects your file: too big, wrong format, or the wrong kind of document entirely. Images to PDF, PDF back to images, compressing a photo to a size limit, and switching between JPG, PNG, and WebP.

Every tool runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. There's no server processing your file, because there's no server involved at all — the conversion happens on your own device, using the same engine your browser already has for displaying images and rendering PDFs. That's also why there's no sign-up, no email requirement, and no waiting on a processing queue: there's nothing to queue.

Why it exists

Most free converters online require an email address, cap how many files you can process, or add a watermark unless you pay. Since none of that is technically necessary for something a browser can already do locally, Fixpoint skips all of it.

Who's behind it

Fixpoint is an independently run project — built and maintained by one person who got tired of free converters that ask for an email address to do something a browser can already do on its own. If something's broken or missing, the contact page has a way to reach out.
